  • Monthlong BQE repair work at Old Fulton Street begins Monday: The New York City Department of Transportation on Monday will begin rehabilitation of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway bridge over Old Fulton Street straddling DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights.

  • Netflix to film ‘Don’t Ever Wonder’ in Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO Monday: According to Deadline, the film is inspired by the Brooklyn-born R&B singer Maxwell’s mellow album, “Urban Hang Suite” (which went platinum, according to AllMusic).

  • Grand Street BID kicks off ‘Winter Restaurant Week’: More than a dozen restaurants on the strip have slashed prices, charging no more than $35 for three-course dinners, according to the Grand Street Business Improvement District in Williamsburg.

  • Man wielding sharp object fatally shot by police in Brooklyn hospital: The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at the NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, Assistant Chief Charles Minch said.

  • Bay Ridge apartment fire leaves 4 injured: New York City Fire Department officials said the blaze began at 10:24 p.m. on the third floor of the six story building on Colonial Road between Mackay Place and 71st Street.
