  • Gloria Steinem, feminist pioneer and co-founder of Ms. Foundation, dies at 92: Feminist Gloria Steinem, a pioneer advocate for women’s rights and equity in the workplace and whose foundation is headquartered in Downtown Brooklyn, died Wednesday at 92.

  • Opinion: It’s time to rename the Brooklyn Bridge: “When will his name be added in Brooklyn? There is plenty of room for signage on Tillary, Adams, Sands, Washington or Prospect streets for a Roebling welcome.”

  • Ex-Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and wife seek to end drug charges case on immunity grounds: Former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife asked a judge on Wednesday to dismiss the drug trafficking indictment against them on the grounds that they have immunity as the leader and first lady of a foreign country.

  • 36 names added to World Trade Center Memorial Wall at FDNY headquarters in Brooklyn: “The members we honor today — the many whose names are already inscribed on that wall — did not hesitate to answer the call on Sept. 11,” FDNY Chief of Department John Esposito said.
