The Lede: It’s a mystery. The Volo Museum near Chicago, home to a replica of the black Pontiac Trans Am from the hit 1980s TV show “Knight Rider,” recently received a $50 traffic ticket for doing 36 mph in a 25 mph zone in Brooklyn on April 22. But museum officials say the vehicle hasn’t left its exhibit — halfway across the country — in years.
