The Lede: Good morning. Skincare brand The Ordinary announced on Tuesday that they’re stepping in for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and running a free, direct bus between Domino Park in Williamsburg and Prospect Park near Grand Army Plaza from May 26 through June 9.

  • New York City residents will get a chance to purchase $50 World Cup tickets: Some lucky New York City residents will soon get a chance to snag cheap seats to this summer’s high-priced World Cup.

  • The Ordinary launches free bus between Prospect Park and Domino Park: The brand claims that their bus will replace a subway commute that takes more than 50 minutes and requires going through Manhattan — though its efficiency in Brooklyn traffic remains to be seen.

  • Brooklyn mom who drowned 3 kids on Coney Island beach sentenced to 20 years to life: A Brooklyn woman was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison on Wednesday for drowning her three young children in the ocean near Coney Island’s famed boardwalk.

  • Restler, Reynoso to host rally aimed at judges’ parking lot: The rally next week is in support of a plan to turn a portion of Columbus Park near Borough Hall from a parking lot into parkland.

  • Bus catches fire under Brooklyn-Queens Expressway: The fire was reported shortly before 8 p.m. at 19th Street and 3rd Avenue, with the bus already fully ablaze when firefighters arrived.

  • After more than 40 years, the Willowtown Annual Spring Fair still delights: Willowtown is a shady enclave tucked into the southwest corner of Brooklyn Heights. The fair has popped up every spring for four decades, a bit like the magical village of Brigadoon.

  • Will bird sale ban take flight in New York?: The City Council will reintroduce a bill banning the sale of birds at pet stores across New York after a fledgling attempt last year didn’t get off the ground. (THE CITY)
